From Uber Driving To Having Six Figures Days With Eileen Wilder

The power of effective storytelling and the how to say “no”!

How Eileen Wilder & Her Husband Went From Uber Driving To Six Figure Days!💰

Hey Million Dollar Secrets fam,

Today, I want to dive into a crazy-good story of transformation and consistency.

Awhile back, I had the chance to interview Eileen Wilder, the Queen of Stages.

Eileen's journey from a pastor living on modest means, with her husband working as an Uber driver, to achieving six and seven-figure days through virtual events, is something that I REALLY wanted to share with you!

(Keep scrolling to learn more about powerful storytelling and the effectiveness of saying “no”! I wanted to summarize our interview, then give you the link to watch the interview if you are interested!)

SMALL BEGINNINGS CAN LEAD TO BIG WINS🎙️

Imagine this:

You’re working in a job you LOVE… You’re making an impact and serving others, BUT your income is capped.

You are stuck between a rock in a hard place, because you love what you do… BUT your finances have no room for growth.

That’s exactly where Eileen Wilder found herself. Working in ministry was a calling, but because of the nature of work… Her family was often living paycheck to paycheck.

Maybe you can relate? I know I can.

But, once they decided to dip their toes into entrepreneurship, their whole world started to slowly change. Not all at once, but one step at a time.

Eileen decided that she wanted to use her voice as a tool to generate income! Who knew that your voice could be an asset?

Eileen ran her first event and less than 10 people showed up… Most of them were her friends!

I kinda chuckle at this because I’ve been there! I’ve ran events myself and felt the pain of having to present to an empty room - it takes a different level of boldness and humility!

But despite starting out small (she had no big list or no big audience), she pushed forward and gave that event her all!

The outcome? She made a whopping $100k from her first event… With barely anyone in the room! 🤑

This drives home the point that I always make when I am teaching on virtual events:

It’s not about the quantity of the people in the room. Rather, it’s about the quality of the people in the room! I would rather have 10 of my most ideal clients in one room rather than 100 who were not my ideal client.

THE LESSONS LEARNED 🔑

Through that $100k day, Eileen learned a lot (as you would imagine)! So I want to spend the remainder of this newsletter breaking down what she learned and what you can put in place from it:

  1. Master Engagement & Storytelling: A significant part of Eileen's success came from her skill in engaging her audience and the art of storytelling. One thing she learned that we can implement is the importance of keeping the audience active and involved, which is crucial for a successful event (or any sales call). But more importantly, she emphasizes the power of storytelling over mere teaching. Transformational stories that shift beliefs and evoke emotional responses are the keys to moving people to action.

  2. Create Desire Over Just Delivering Content: Most people think they need to deliver all the content in the world to their audience, but oftentimes that does more harm than good. When I interviewed Eileen, she warned against the common pitfall of over-teaching. While imparting knowledge is essential, creating desire through storytelling has a more profound impact. Stories have the unique ability to break through barriers of skepticism and change deep-seated beliefs, particularly those around selling and value exchange. How can you master creating desire instead of just teaching?

  3. The Power Of “No”: One of the hardest words for entrepreneurs to say is “no”. We love opportunity and always want to chase the “yes”… But one thing Eileen noted when I interviewed her was the importance of saying 'no’ and how important the ability to turn down opportunities and focus on what truly matters can be! This can be a game-changer in your business and personal life. It's about creating space for the things that will truly propel you forward.

There were a few other golden nuggets I took away from the interview, but these were the ones that stuck out most to me!

All of these points and lessons are gems that you can use to make more money online AND create more time for what is needed in your business most.

If this conversation so far has been valuable for you, I have something special that could help you deeper! It’s our full conversation with Eileen - which is viewable for free on our YouTube channel!
